The unique memoir of a Norwegian Resistance man who escape from Greman occupied Norway in 1941. He made the hazardous journey across the North Sea in a small fishing boat with a number of other men to continue the war against German force from secret bases in the Shetland Islands. During the first years of this operation these men use the small boats in which they had escaped to bring weapons, ammunition and radio sets, together with Norwegian people whose lives were in danger, from their native land to Shetland. This little know operatiion became known as 'The Shetland Bus'. In this book the author delivers a personal and stirring account of these perilous wartime assignments.
