A Handbook for Connecticut Selectmen was first published in Jan uary, 1951, as part of the handbook series prepared and published by the Institute of Public Service. In October, 1955, a supplement was issued incorporating all changes to the original text through the 1955 session of the General Assembly.
This publication is the first maior revision of the original handbook. The text has been completely reorganized and a separate index to the General Statutes relating to the selectmen has been added. Statutory references are current through the 1959 session of the General Assembly.
