Description
Excerpt from Handbook for Connecticut Selectmen: A Guide to the General and Specific Powers of Selectmen Together With Statutory Citations
The primary purpose of this Handbook is to provide selectmen of the towns of this state with a guide to the statutes which regulate their duties. It is anticipated that experienced selectmen will find the Handbook useful as a ready reference to the statutes and that selectmen serving on the board for the first time will find it also helpful in acquiring a working knowledge of their duties under the law. In addition, the Handbook should prove useful to teachers and to citizens in bringing to them a more complete understanding of the vast number of duties for which selectmen are responsible in the administration of town affairs.
