Description
Dickens’ A Christmas Carol tells the story of miserly Ebenezer Scrooge, whose response to Christmas is that anyone who celebrates it should be boiled with his own pudding, and buried with a stake of holly through his heart. In the course of the story, Dickens relates how Scrooge himself has a change of heart after three ghostly visitations. It’s a story that will be familiar to many readers, but one that bears frequent re-telling, with its wonderful description, story-telling, and humour. Hence it has been included in Dovetale Press’s series of four adaptations of classic novels and a poetry collection, created for people living with dementia.
