Of his difficulties the plater in country towns who has purchased a small outfit and begun operations without previous training in a plating establishment where mod ern methods have been employed with a due regard for speed and economy in turning out the work. Hence it has been thought best to confine our remarks chie?y to the principles involved in the work, and to tell in a com mon sense way, how the work is done; what forces are employed; how they are handled, and how the various formulae may be made and varied to suit the conditions of the work or to overcome the difficulties that may arise in continuous working of solutions.
