Description
Excerpt from The Devil''s Rebellion and the Reason Why
Pause thou, vain man, for I would question; Tell me of things that seemeth great; Give me a vision, before time was, Of worlds in their chaotic state. Behold the moon in yon azure sky; The sun, that gives us light by day; Have you seen the blazing comet-worlds, That come and go o''er heaven''s broad way? Can you tell me when all these were born? What convulsions rent heaven''s dome That made the comets wandering stars, Throughout eternity to roam? Wilt tell of the conglomerate masses; In the distant past when our world, Misshapen, without form and void? Was it from out of chaos hurled, And then, for ages upon ages Time''s unrelenting foot had trod. Until a natural sphere was formed, Created first by nature''s God? Seest thou all these rugged mountains.
