Description

Excerpt from A History of the Seven Holy Founders of the Order of the Servants of Mary

Pietro da Todi, General of the Servants of Mary, the third successor of St. Philip. He entered the Order at fifteen years of age, about the year 1295. His Chronicle of the First Beginnings of the Order is the only document written by a contemporary of the Founders, and was compiled in 1817, seven years after the death of St. Alexis. It contains many interesting details, intermingled with considerations partly laudatory and partly mystical.
