Description
Excerpt from Asahel Blodgett of Hudson and Dorchester, N. H: His American Ancestors and His Descendants
About 1893 I received from John Taggard Blodgett, of Providence, R. I., now my esteemed friend and cor respondent, and one of the Honorable Justices of the Supreme Court of Rhode Island, an Incomplete List of Certain Lines ''of the Descendants from thomas blogget, who sailed from London for New England in April, 1635, in the ''lncrmse, and who settled in Cambridge, Mass. This List, compiled largely from the Town Records of Chelmsford, Mass, and Hudson, N. H., disclosed my descent from the original Immigrant of 1635, as well as that of my esteemed informant.
Prompted by this new light, I prepared a condensed outline of the lineage of myself and my near kinsmen, Judge Caleb Blodgett of the Superior Court of Mass achusetts, now deceased; of his brother Judge Isaac N. Blodgett, of New Hampshire, late Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of that State, also now deceased, and of Hon. Rufus Blodgett, late United States Senator from New Jersey, - which was published in Munsell''s Ameri can Ancestry oi 1893.
