Description
Excerpt from Older People in Florida: A Chart Book
Recognizing that an informed citizenry can act more effectively and wisely in all matters of social concern, the members of the Florida Council on Aging initiated action to bring about the publication of this chart book so that the state''s leaders in government, business, and community life would have facts on which to reach decisions and take action in the field of aging. Representatives of numerous organizations and of agencies of the state government have voiced the need for a book of this type. Its publication has been made possible by the support provided by the Florida Development Commission, and the Bureau of Economic and Business Research, University of Florida.
